Have you done any solder work before? If not, I'd practice on something else that you wouldn't miss if you somehow ruined it. Soldering isn't tough as long as you have a steady hand.

On another note, if you plan to go either white or blue, get them in the lowest voltage you can find with the highest brightness (www.lc-led.com has 3.2V with 350mcd) since these colors generally require higher voltage than the console provides (dim lights). You'll need approximately 40 LED's and about 3 hours of time to do the whole job. If you're gonna do it yourself, remember patience is your friend.

that's terrible advise, don't launch at 3,000rpms, you'll just sit there and spin/hop.

With the stock tires and if you drop the clutch, yeah I agree you'll spin. Get some tires with some grip and there shouldn't be a problem.

P.S. It's advice.
