Default fix it ticket exhaust question

hi guys somewhat new to the forums. just wonder kuz i just got a fix it ticket monday and get it all corrected but the cop at the station said i had to have the stock exhaust in so that he can write it off. so i was wondering would the megan midpipe fit the stock axleback, kuz i dont want to take off the whole system just to put in the stock system when im gonna go back to the megan anyways.

oh yeah and a side note for those wondering for the DB ratings on a megan drift-spec,
the reading came out 96db. and all i have installed is the exhaust an the injen cai.

thanks in advance.

Damn.....I guess I will NEVER be living in Cali if the cops all waste their time writing BS tickets for MODS. How lame.

The cops here could care less.

Yeah the mid pipe should fit. the only thing is the stock piping is 2.25". If your mid pipe is 2.5" you might has some back preassure and it might sound a little weird but it should be enough for you to pass. Good luck!

Call around your area and see if you can find a referree station for smog. They will smog and decibal test your exhaust and give you paperwork saying if it's legal or not. Ur gonna need to take off the CAI though, but it's way less of a hassle than the exhaust. If the exhaust is 96 db then it's legal because the legal limit in cali is 95 and you have a 1.5 db leeway for legality. But if you have a CAI, it will be louder and not pass. Just my 2 cents man
