Default Fog lights...

I checked out Scion.com to get a price breakdown of the tC I want fitted with options, but it doesn't have the price for the fog lights available. I'm just wondering how much they are. Also, does the MP3 player read CD-RW's too or just CD-R's? Thanks.

The list price for fog lights is $425. Yes it should be able to play CD-RW's, although it can take longer to read the disc.

My foglights are being installed as we speak :D. I'm curious as to how they are controlled (turned on/off). Guess I will find out in a few hours.

You probably already know by now, but I'm almost positive there is a switch installed to the left of your steering wheel. Look at all the spots for accessories there.

When I put mine on, I am going to wire them in such a way so they don't shut off when the high beams are on. My guess is yours will be wired so that they shut off when the highs are on.

Legally, they have to be wired that way.

Ok, yup its a button on the left hand side of the steering wheel to turn the foglights off/on. They only come on with the low beam lights which is fine for me because it would be stupid to drive around with just your parking and fog lights on and the high beam is too bright for the fog lights to do anything.... Otherwise they look really good, even while off :D

So you can't turn the fogs on unless your headlights are on? Or if just your parking lights are on?
I wouldn't drive like that when it's dark out, but I'd like the optoin to drive like that during the day so I am more easily seen by other drivers.

yes- it's how most new cars are wired- the only car I know otherwise is a BMW-

I rewired my is300 so they can be on by themselves, and it should be a simple mod for the Scion- it's just finding out how to do it is teh hard part-

I personally don't like the stock fog lights...but I do like the angel eye fog lights someone posted once. Does anyone have those installed? And how much do those cost with installation?

Cool. My buddies '02 SER Spec-V could turn the fogs on with just the parking lights, but my '02 Galant needed the headlights on to turn on the fogs.

I still dont' know if I'm digging those fogs. Especially since my front plate is probably going to go in that grill. I think I'l just get some flat ovals and mount them low. Or maybe some square ones for the side intakes.

For all of you thinking aftermarket fogs are better- watch out- They get stolen all the time around here-

I did not get the stock fogs, but I may in the future-
