i have problems getting into third sometimes too. doesn't happen too often but when it does it bothers me. anyone else experience this too?

the only problem i have is when downshifting from fifth to fourth i hit the wall between fourth and reverse. anyone else do this or is it just me?

I've done it once or twice, but that's because I was not being so smart (sigh) and manhandling the shifter. Just handle the shifter with an open hand - just knock it out of 5th, let it center itself, then push it straight down. It'll go into 4th.

Double clutch.

Reverse is not synchronized with the rest of the gears. This is the way that ALL manual transmissions operate as far as I know.

i have driven MANY 5/6 speeds, never needed to double clutch/etc. to get in reverse until now
