OKay..i have a 2008 scion tc, it has the new projector thing lights..and i was wondering if the light bulb inside of the projector is the same as a regular headlight??

anyone know what kind of bulb to buy to make the headlights look white not yellow!!!

it is an h11 halogen bulb.

i'm guessing your curious if it was some type of xenon HID bulb, no, it isn't.

if you want it to be more white...well there isn't much you can do because there are not alot of aftermarket h11 bulbs.

you could get an HID kit and get 5000k or 6000k color temperature bulbs for it, that will make it look white.

 

Buy a 4-6000K bulb. Size H11 for low beam, H1 for high beam.

I've never seen or used the 08 lights, so I don't know if you'd need a ballast or adapter/harness, what have you. I'll let someone more knowledgeable help you with that.

 

if you search, a bunch of things might come out. your tC comes stock with just halogen headlights, but, you have 2 options. silverstars or hids. when looking for bulbs, the size for 08s are H11s.

 

they don't make silverstar bulbs for h11.

 

H1? My 07's high beam is a 9005, and I believe the 08's are the same.

 

Buy a 5000k or 6000k HID kit from Operatic for $130. You will be able to see a lot better too.

^ yep no H11 silver stars out yet.......might try a HID kit with a harness........I love mine...........output of the light is white as can be.

 

Haha, dumb post on my part. All car's high beams are halogen because of HID's delayed activation. My bad.
