Default heated at toyota!

ok guys i finally took my car in at toyota last friday for warranty because my car was making funny noises. soundid like a knocking noise prolly blown motor. so today i got a voicemail from them saying they cant fix my car under warranty because i was driving with no oil in my car thats why a oil light came on! WTF are they serious! so i tried calling them back 3 times but no answer and i even left them a voicemail. never got a call back or anything. its funny because the night my car started making the knocking noise i checked my oil level and it was completly fine. even checked it the next morning and it was still fine. ive been doing oil change on my tc every 3000 miles and always used mobil 1. plus i dnt have any leaks on my car. honestly guys i baby my car like it was my gf LOL plus my car is still under warranty! so today i called corperate and they said they wiil get back to me 1 day from now. so im hoping they do something about it. also i dont have a check engine light or anything at all and my buddy that use to work at toyota even looked at it and brought this little computer and hook it up to see if i was throwing a code and nothing came up. he even insfected my car. check oil level and everything. he couldnt figure what was wrong but he knew it was internal damage on the engine. so he told me to take it to toyota and the warrant should cover it. but no toyota is being shady and telling me i had no oil in the car...wow are they really serious im that stupid not to drive with no oil and check my level once in a while... so guys im really ____ed off and sad at the momment and dont really know what to do at this point. i know damn well toyota doesnt wanna fix it because its warranty work and they dont get paid for it...so please guys let me know what i should do.

^^what Robo said, take it to higher authority if the lower ones are not going to take you seriously. I am sure your problem will be taken care of if you are in fact under warranty so relax.

On a side note, I understand you are stressed out and frustrated. Next time, you should space out what you have to say so other SL members wont click on this and see a big rant paragraph and not bother reading it at all. If they dont read it, you might miss out on helpful advice and other opinions. Good luck on the problem though, hope you get it resolved as soon as possible.

I had the same problem with my engine about 2 years ago. Turns out I scored a cylinder! I also check my oil every time I fill up at the pump, but the dealership I went to took it in and had it back to me in 2 days with a new block.

Diffidently take it up with their corporate office. Their under suite right now for the stuck gas peddle crap so I'd assume their willing to please big time.

Corp will do nothing. When they destroyed my car because they dogged it driving it around when I took it in to get new keys crop did absolutely nothing.

they tried to do the same thing to me when my engine blew with 40k, driving on the highway oil light comes on, engine makes a racket.

Service tried to tell me they wouldn't warranty because i had done the oil changes myself and they needed proof. I just stayed on them about it and finally a month later after the regional warranty service tech looked at it they decided they would replace the engine.

They never could say what happened to the oil, it seemed to just disappear, all of it.

Just be firm with them and keep in contact with the higher ups if need be.

I stop taking my car into toyota. Reason why is when i went in to get a quote on how much it would be to fix my broken CV axle, After the quote i just ended up letting them fix it. Insurance covered it. I get my car back with my ipod connection plug rip out with the wires cut i was so Pi ss i called the cops, i called corporate, i did it all i fought for two months but the dealer never fixed it. Kept trying to fight and everything was the run around until i just said Fuh it. I got tired of fighting and not getting now where. So after that whole show ill never go to the Dealership well most likely never go to toyota dealership to get work done on my car.

My back hatch latch motor wasn't working and would not open. I tried to schedule my appointment within my warranty time and they said they were all full but could schedule me in 3 weeks. Just so happens that 3 weeks later was out of the warranty time and they said they wouldnt cover the repair.

They wanted to charge me $420(parts + labor) to fix it. I bought the latch for $12 on ebay and unscrewed 4 bolts replaced it and plugged it in. Im curious as to why they wanted to charge me $220 for the part and $200 for 15 minutes of labor.

Also, paid for the TYC taillights when I bought my car.

Got hit in the rear(hit and run while parked)

Clip under the taillight that holds the taillight up broke and bumper was falling off.

Went to Toyota to get a new one after I took my widebody off and threw the stock parts back on.

Was given a clip that didnt fit. I was treated like s*** when I told him it didnt fit. Told me to take my car back to California(im in WA now) where I bought it if I didnt like it.

Talked to the service manager who was very helpful. Tried ordering me another one which was still wrong.

Turns out they discontinued the TYC lights and all the parts along with it. If I cant get a part I need for a newer toyota('07) from TOYOTA, then who am I expected to get it from.

Ended up having to pay a body shop Macgyver it.

Shame on Toyota customer service.

If we're swapping stories... I ordered a set of valve lifters the Wednesday before the new year. Toyota said they would be in by Friday (two days wait). I called, and was told some were being shipped from Cali (to Michigan) also, Toyota shuts down until next Tuesday. I called Wednesday and two were still "in transit." Now, two weeks later, I am told that 1 has still not arrived. Complete bull.

Update: Got "all" my valves after two weeks of waiting. I ordered 16 and received 15. Around 50% are not even what I ordered. Several appear used (scratched, stained, tarnished). Thanks Toyota!
