I definitely find our ***** look and feel best at their lowest point, but for people who are a little taller or find the shifter too aggressive, we give them the option to set the **** at a height that is comfortable for them.

Not bashing short shifters but in response to someone saying the **** is way too tall, it has to do with ergonomics of racing. I think i remember either reading or watching about WRC and how most have shifters on or near the wheel. This is because when a driver's hand is not on the wheel he has lower level of control over the vehicle. And by placing a lower shifter on a car you are increasing the time the hand is off the wheel which also increases the time for a loss of control to happen. Admittedly, I could be wrong but this makes the most sense to me. Cause I dont see many high speed motorsports that don't use wheel shifters. Honda had a good idea with the EP3 Si with the shifter in the dash but I think that was too funky for most people. I like the stock height of the tC's shifter but its a little clunky for me. So, I'm thinking my best bet would be the TRD shifter. Anyway that was my rant and 2 cents. If anyone cares to enlighten me on being right or wrong feel free. All in all, I don't see the point of having a really short shifter. Maybe you guys could help me out there. And sorry to ***** up this post Djicey702. Have at it fellas!!

I agree on the Stage 1 TWM shifter being way to short. I plan on going with the Stage 2 TWM. I don't care about 10% difference in throws but i do care about 2.5" (Stage 1) to .5" (Stage 2) in hieght. I don't mean to knock your Stage 1 TWM_Performance but thats how I feel. But I still plan on buy the Stage 2 TWM from your website. Any sales coming up soon?

the tall shift **** does play a big part in racing where alot of controll is required but like i have told other ppl i bracket race a 160hp 4 banger lol i dont need both hands on the whell i need to shift as fast as posible so a short height with a shorth thorw is fine with me

I'd just like to clarify that the stage 1 is the less aggressive shifter, with a height reduction of 1/2" and throw reduction of 25%, and the stage 2 is the shortest shifter with a 2.5" height reduction and a throw reduction of 35%.

As for sales, if you're a student, or know someone with a valid student id who could buy a shifter for you, you can get a 10% rebate right now, check out the details here: TWM Student Discounts

Hope this helps,

Kevin

Well I'am back ! I installed the B & M and I am happy with it, I feel much more confident when shifting at high rpms it's definitely a plus. I actually had to modify the the installation: First I removed the C-clip thats fits directly below the big ball in the center of the shaft( it seemed to be hitting the plastic shifter support, I called tech support at B & M and they were qlueless.) Next: I did not install the four metal spacers that were included( without the spacers it drops the shifter down by mabe 3/8 of an inch or less, but you will notice.) Then: once I put the round plastic shifter hold-down thing in place I noticed there was some play that I could free up, so what I did to fix this was: remove the round plastic thing and in the area where the big ball pivets on(the bottom side) I was able to but a ti-wrap to raise where the shifter ball sits(so the shifter ball actually rests on this plastic ti-wrap)( I wish I had taken pics) and where the ti-wrap was placed was on the left where there is an opening you'll see. Anyways it is now so much better with that mod. It suck to have to modify some new sh*t you just bought but that's life.
