how dare you call my tC a girl car!

Now, the TC is probably the manliest thing though, that Scion makes. The XA reaks of chick car (most guys can't even fit in it). And the Xb...i rarely see guys driving them (i usually see older ladies). But again, it's all what you make it. I personally don't have anything against the Xb but it's like the new minivan if you think about it. So to all the TC haters that decided to jump in this forum and bash the manlier of the Scions, well look again at your car.
The end all was mentioned late in the first page. The first car "made" for women was an automatic. Car companies we're noticing that in the middle of this century women we're entering into the work force and therefore were being born into the consumer market, after years of research they found the best way to improve sales was to put more rd into automatics. So if it's an automatic, from the car makers’ view it’s a girly car, and if it’s a manual then it’s a guy’s car. Guys who drive auto are girly, and girls who drive manuals are manly, unless they're good looking, then they're just f***ing hot.
p.s. when Ferrari started making autos it quadrupled their sales.
P.s.s. this post is half fact, half exaggerated opinion, so don’t run with it. It’s like scissors; you might hurt yourself, hehe.

I dont think it matters but in my opinion the tC has become a "chic-car". When you look at the demographics for tC buyers its something like 63% are female. I would still buy one though because I think its a bada$$ ride! The tC will continue to sell more units to woman without question. The entire Scion process appeals to woman more than men I find when dealing with both as customers. I know everytime I see a Super White tC roll by with a hot chic driving it I dont seem to mind and it makes me want one more and more everytime...

...and as much as I dig miatas and as sweet as they are to autocross in there's only one kind of guy I think of when I see a dude driving a stock miata
...anyone seen the movie GO? lol.
personally there are some girly looking colors and there are neutral colors. AP and BCP i think are the grily colors for the tC. Of course most girls probably dont drive those colors. But all the rest are more like neutral colors.
As for the car itself, yeah a lot of girls drive the car but that doesnt make it a girly car. Because technically the only manly cars left are the old muscle cars. you will not see a women driving a 69 camaro, or old vette that much, but even when you do you still respect the car. it takes time to tell i think, in 10-15 years you can look back and say that was a girly car or guy car

Wow, I contributed to this thread two years ago...
8neways, I bought the car back when it was first released, before it was deemed a "chick car". After 2 years and 43000 miles, I do not regret my decision or care that alot of girls drive the same kind of car. It was the best car for the price and it did not come in a boring package.

gosh imma say this again. i said it about a year ago...
no cars are designed for genders... If so, companies will lose money!
Also, what defines a girl's car/girly car? Majority of a model is bought and drove by girls? if so, then that mean girls really love the car. and if a tC is a girl car... then i'll love a girly car. I don't mind girls watching me drive my car down the road

most japanese cars are girl cars and this isn't just here. For instance, my japanese roommate was telling me that no guy would be caught dead in japan with a celica, eclipse, prelude, or sentra. i'm not saying he is the ultimate source but it is funny that girls are attracted to these cars over there just as much as they are here. it seems to be a big coincidence that they are girl cars there and here.

Actually, I agree. I think that classic silver metallic and azure pearl look a little more "girly" to me for some reason?
I also think that black, flint mica (the dark grey), and the nautical blue look more "boyish".
I'm half and half on the tC being a girl car. It depends what color you get. And adding something like a ped wing makes it more "boy"ish.
I admit that I think the VW Beetle (especially in lime green) and the Celica are very girly looking cars to me.
Just my two cents.

I have real ***** AND real nails. Pretty sure a lot (maybe not all) of other tC girls can say the same.
(I don't get it anyways. Guys complain when girls ***** are too small, which compels them to get fake *****, then you make fun of their implants.)
Back to the topic, yes the tC can be a girl car but I'm sure there are a lot of girls who drive the xBox too.
Thanks.
yeah, lots fo my female friends, when first seeing my brand new tC in the work parking lot said "oh, it's so CUTE!!!" I was like "no! no its not cute!" oh well, I guess I have a girlie car, whatever, I like it!
HAHAHAHA!! this thread is funny. who cares? i don't consider my car to be male or female. Obviously my particular car is a guys car because i am a guy and i own it. If the exact same car was owned by a girl, it would then be a girl's car. Follow the logic here?
But I do have to admit- When people tell me that my car is "cute" I tell them that puppies are "cute", not cars.
