How do you deal with the sun's heat?

I just leave my sunroof open about a quarter inch and it makes a difference.... and in Houston it gets plenty hot in the sun already. I checked the sunshades with an infrared thermometer and the front sunshade with the roof open a tad was 40 to 50 degrees cooler.

man that glass on the roof get so hot u can fry an egg up there. my last car was white it didnt get that hot on top. i guess if u dont have a oven u can always use your roof...

Well, the color black absorbs more heat compared to the color white. So being our roofs mostly black in color, it gets pretty hot compared to the white roof of your last car.

Saw a lady on tv that puts raw cookies on a sheet in her car when she goes into work in the morning, and when she's done at around 4, she has warm baked cookies ready to eat.
