Although I don't understand it myself, many extremely intelligent people can't spell to save their lives. Maybe it is a right brained versus left brained thing, I don't know. What does drive me nuts is the terrible grammar.

Calvin, I don't mean to personally rip on you for this, but I am curious about something. When you post do you reread the sentences you type? If you do reread them do they make sense to you? You're really not as bad as some people are, but still. Basically, when you think to yourself is it in the same broken english that you type?

Again, I really don't mean to rip on you. The way you write seems to be how the majority of other people do it as well. I just want some insight into it.

some time i read it back, some time i don't.
Just thanks to the technology, make typing easy. :D

it take times to read back and fix until perfect? i don't think I have an English test here, so stop correct other's English.

PMSCION, I don't mean to personally rip on you for your too. I am curious about something here too, do you read back what you type (write) too?

Again, I really don't mean to rip on you. It seems you are one of the majority, welcome aboard.

I think you're trying to get back at me by saying my grammar is poor as well? I honestly can't tell what you are trying to say. If you'd like to point out the sections of my post that were unclear I'd be happy to clarify anything. You never answered my question. Do you think in the same form of grammar that you type in?

P.S. I apologize if you are foreign, then I completely understand.

Ok. Thats the only part I had a hard time with. It would be nice if modern computers had some software that would auto run when ever you type something. That way it would fix all the grammer and spelling problems we have. I my self have problems with some words at times, mostly because I dont use them enough to care on how they are spelt.

Yeah those sport-tronic & manu-matics & so on seem like nice things. I would not mind driving a car that had one. A clutchless manual .

Auto-5speed

alot of companies call it different ways

Manu-matic
sports shift
tiptronic
quick shifter
sequential-shift automatic
Geartronic

umm you talking about the 2 in 1 manual and automatic right?

yea there is a certain way to drive it, you still gotta let go of the gas pedal when you wanna shift... and theres no clutch..

my 98 prelude got one and my transmission broke because i used it improperly. you gotta let go of the gas when you shift.... it costed 3000 dollars to repair it..

No, what would be nice is if parents and teachers still taught english to people in this country. What would also be nice is if people weren't too lazy to edit their posts so that everyone else wouldn't have to spend three times as long reading them.

Calvin, your last few posts have been much worse than before. I assume you are doing it to aggravate me? At least for your sake I hope you are doing it on purpose. The alternative is that you are completely hopeless. Good luck getting or holding a job with your communication skills. I'll just assume you are a new immigrant to this country and are unfamiliar with the language.

You are combining multiple kinds of transmissions into one group. There are automatic transmissions that allow you to select your own gear but still have a torque converter. For example manu-matic and tiptronic. These offer no real advantage over a regular automatic other than you can hold gears when cornering if you like. With these you do not need to lift off the gas when you upshift. Your Prelude had one of these. Also, these do not have clutches.

The other type of automatics do have a clutch and don't have a torque converter. They basically have servos that engage the clutch and switch gears when you pull on a paddle behind the wheel. I believe that with these you do need to briefly lift off the gas on upshifts. The computer blips the throttle for you on downshifts. The only automakers to use this technology with a lot of success have been high end like ferrari. Toyota offered a very poorly executed one in the MR2. Your Prelude didn't have this type.
