i had that same problem and they just replaced my third gear sincro's....well guess what is happening 6000 miles later....ITS GRINDING AGAIN!!!!! im just going to make them replace the whole tranny cuz eveery gear is nout clunky when ishift..grrrr

the distance of each trip in my car has significantly decreased since i got to NC. i almost never go on the highway as opposed to at least 2-3x daily hitting the freeway in cali...

 

Really? well guess what? this is the second tranny I'm getting replaced, it makes me worry, cause now I have no warranty left, the last 2 trannies have only lasted me about 30K miles .

 

i got mine almost a year ago and i have a little over 19,000

 

Got mine January 5. I think I have 1600 miles on it, which I purposly put on the car out AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE CITY just to break it in so I could feel what it was like to floor it to redline.

I haven't driven it in a month or two. I'm not going to drive it in this HORRIBLE CITY FULL OF INCREDIBLY STUPID PEOPLE and completely destroyed roads and the UGLIEST WOMEN ON EARTH.

I'll be able to escape in less than 9 months. Then I'll start driving my beautiful baby. Right now I'm still driving my other car.

 

for those of you people with the tranny problems... check out the post about "autommatic transmission problems" I actually converted the last little bit to manual transmission problems... I bought mine january 13th 06, right now i have 7000 miles on it, and i am starting to notice my 3rd gear getting a little heavy (and first too) and i didnt even hit the 10k mark yet...how much do they charge to replace the tranny for those of you who changed it....?

 

this question is for honey bucket... did o4 scions have a top speed of 120 miles per hour only?

I'm not sure, mine was covered under warranty both times.
