Default How much....?

How much do you think it will cost to replace my front bumper. I hit a coyote last night, and it destroyed the bottom right of the bumper. But, it's all one piece, so the whole things has to be replaced. How much do you think I am looking at? For a GOOD JOB! I am thinking 3-$500, am I in the ballpark? Thanks in advance.

it's not a whole bumper, just a bumper cover. The kit with paint probably will cost you around 3-400 bucks.

Really, it's not the bumper? So, I am looking at 600 bucks with install charges and labor, probably.

Bumper, as I understand it right, is the metal sub frame that protect against the car. The painted plastic cover, as we often refer to as bumper is really just a "bumper cover".

If you go to a body shop and get a quote, they will tell you that they need to order the "bumper cover" and then paint it. I suspected that the bumper are shipped with paint already. So there's a chance you can just order the bumper cover yourself and put it on yourself.

No the bumper covers do come unpainted, because I guess no one wants to figure out what percentage of flint mica bumper covers to make and what percentage black cherry pearl.

If you do order the bumper cover, be prepared to either get it painted by someone or painting it yourself.

They do come unpainted. A front bumper cover usually runs between $500 and $1000 from the dealer. Paint can be anywhere between $200 and $600 depending on the shop.

You'd be best off turning it into insurance and paying your deductible. Unless you have a $1000 deductible, you'll probably save money over buying one from the dealer and having it painted at a shop.

The coyote needs a lot more replaced, hehe. Just got a quote from the best body shop in town(they work on my Dad's $70,000 Jag) And, they quoted me $740 bucks. I think that's a fair price. They do great work, it'll look perfect. What do you all think about the price?

I was in a fender bender myself. Nothing major. many small dings and paint scratches. But I am gonna replace the dirver side door skin, quarter panel and rocker (mass rocks = mass dings) Quoted at almost 1900 bucks (880 bucks just in labor)

Yeah, this collision didn't mess my quarter panel up, I hear those are more expensive than the bumper cover that was messed up in my collision.

It seems these days you can't even get a scratch repaired for less than $500. A reputable shop is a plus, too. Coyotes should have mandatory insurance like the rest of us on the road.
