Just picked up my 07 5 speed silver TC last night, had less than 1 mile on it.
This is my first time owning a brand new car, it is kinda weird, but I can't get enough of the TC, it's such a cool car!

Just a tip I found out recently. I'm sure it's been posted somewhere before, but just as a reminder to those who already know. I thought the stock stereo in the tC was kosher at best until I made an mp3 cd. If you set the SSP to FEEL and the car type to xB AND turn on SRT for the mp3 cd, the bass increase is awesome.
I've always loved the look and general concept of the tC. In my recent car shopping I test drove one. They only had automatics on the lot so that's what I drove. I was really unimpressed. Sorry automatic owners, but I thought the AT made the tC a dull and sluggish car. At the time I attributed that opinion to the tC in general, and decided on a Corolla S with MT instead.
I really liked the Corolla S, but turns out there was a bit of a mixup and misinfomation on the options it had, and to avoid a very long story, ended up taking i back.
Came back to find out they had gotten in a tC with a MT. I told the dealer I had test driven one and wasn't impressed. When he found out I had driven an AT, his exact words were "oh man, night and day, you have to try the manual"
I did, and fell in love. So now there's a Flint Mica tC parked outside. This is by far the sportiest car I've ever owned and man, the more I drive it the more I love it. I can't wait for the break in period to be over!!

i'll be purchasing a new flint mica automatic transmission tc within the next two months. i am not really a tuner type of person, and my knowledge of cars in general isn't very expansive. i've learned more in the past 2 months researching tc's than i learned in the past 25 years of my life. so, i have a few questions....
1. if i get the automatic with standard wheels, and drop it using the trd kit, will it look good even without any ground effects? (anyone have pictures of a tc dropped without ground effects?)
2. i live in mississippi, and the tint limit here is 35% all around. i've seen alot of tc's on here with 5% tint. are you guys just risking it? i'd like to do something darker than 35, but can i get away with it?
3. i plan on replacing the stereo entirely, but i want my new deck to be ipod compatible. with that in mind, should i spring for the ipod interface option so that my car is already wired to support ipod, or will it not be a problem for a car audio place to wire it for me? (i still want to be able to put my ipod in the center armrest.)
4. don't have a garage. very sunny here. should i get a car cover to protect the paint, or will it be ok without it?
5. with absolutely no experience with car modification, should i be able to replace the grills myself?
6. you don't have to have a front plate in mississippi. if i tell them not to put the frame for it on my car, can i get a tc with no holes in the front bumper?
i think that about does it for now. any help would be greatly appreciated. i know that alot of you will probably roll your eyes at this post, but like i said before, i'm not really a car guy. or, at least, i wasn't until i started researching the TC.

Well my Scion family tC brothers and sisters!!!! I finally did it! I went to my dealership today and decided to test drive a classic silver tC. I liked it so much I decided to apply for a second car loan......
And I got accepted by all banks!!!! BUT, there's small problem I have to dump my silver streak xA. And the payments are looking around 350.00-380.00 ish, so I decided if I feel the need to trade in my xA. I'm looking to look for something more bigger. Cause Carmax didn't want me to cause a problem in the near future.....(Which I already knew what I was getting myself into in the first place.) They warn me about if I went to a "Regular" dealership....I would of gotten the keys anyway! Well least I picked up a copy of the lastest Scion magazine and test drove a tC. And ____ed off my sales consultant

New owner of an '07 Black Cherry Pearl tC as of 11/22/06. Blew the transmission in my '98 Malibu, tried to replace it but didn't turn out so well so it's rotting in the junkyard and the tC is in the driveway. Should have bought the tC in March instead of wasting $3k on the Malibu! Got the 100k warranty because you could say I'm a bit hard on my cars..
And LoJack because I have to park it in Boston every weekend... Anyway, love most things about the car, except the blindspot caused by the high rear end (hard to parallel park), and the seats are killing me... Looking to put a set of Celica seats in there, but want to plant my butt in a Celica first to see if it's worth the effort. I've searched and searched but haven't found a picture of someone successfully doing that swap (lots of "I'm gonna try it" posts though), maybe I'll be the first one with actual pictures. Or horror stories. LOL Looking forward to posting on the forum in the future - I've got a CNC machine and I'm not afraid to use it!
Hopefully I can come up with some cool parts. Enjoy your tC's!
I got my white 07 tC yesterday!
I love it so much, I have to learn to drive it haha. It's my first manual car, I had a little practice some weeks ago before buying it. I'm doing ok, getting the car going in 1st gear is a little tricky but I'm getting the hang of it.

PS: when i was driving it home, chicks were checking me out

I don't mind people checking it out, but it seems more people than usual think I want to race them now... Had a guy in an Integra 2" from my bumper yesterday, so I tapped the brakes which got him even more worked up. Figured I'd take an exit so as not to get in trouble going too fast, but he followed me, then at the last second I dodged back onto the highway, and he followed still. Then I found out where the top speed limiter is set, and he was a spec of nothing in the rearview by the next exit. I didn't realize how fast this thing actually is when I test drove it. Not a Porsche by any means, but faster than I thought! Now cruising at 80mph feels slow..
Fun car!
