no really, i'm serious. i tried to slam on the brakes, but the brakes like came back up, as if it got locked or something.

Same here, accept mine was totaled. Donno how long it would take to get me a replacement. All I did was ran over a tire on the freeway. Sad story!

I read your story (your link doesn't work but this one does) and other than both of you having accidents, you have nothing in common. I don't think many people could have avoided a tire in the middle of their lane in heavy traffic. The question is are the brakes and ABS system to blame for the tCs that get wrecked under "normal" driving conditions, or is it inexperience coupled with irresponsible driving?

for me, it was PURELY ABS locking up. i'm 200% sure of it. if i could have just held down on the brakes, rather than them locking up, i could have stopped, and no accident.

but great news......my dealer just sent me an email saying all parts will be here in 15 days. i love my dealer!! and i'm so excited! woo hoo. better than waiting for 2 months!

tC parts will got on b/o and take probably a good 2 weeks before the parts alone arrive. We have had 2 tC hits and it seems the wait is forever..be prepared to be without the tC a while....

Are you sure the ABS brakes were "locking up" or were they just pulsing? Have you had a car with ABS brakes before?

Default no backorder

To put an end to the mystery of the tC parts for Otacon88, bumper, grill, hoodlock and emblem will be here this week. The hood and headlight are coming off the assembly line in Aichi as we speak. Otacon88 will have all his parts here in 10-14 business days. I made some calls Monday to get everything going. Scion is doing the best it can for spare parts. Right now with customers having to wait 4-6 weeks for a vehicle, getting body parts in 2-3 weeks isn't bad.
He'll be up and running soon

See ya later
