i wish UPS would just leave it at the door!!!!
It's funny how they do things sometimes. I live in an apartment and one time UPS left my neighbor's packages with me (didn't even know who was living there). He left 2 computers, 2 wide-screen LCD monitors, and a laser printer. Next week when I ordered a $20 chill pad for my laptop (from the same company) it was signature required.

I have lots of beef with UPS. They are ALWAYS delivering late here (They come by no earlier than 6PM - ALWAYS! That doesn't help my business!) They also have "lost" some packages at the distribution center, and delayed the deliveries (This happened to my brother). They also don't deliver on Saturdays (unless you pay extra). USPS does.
Point of all this... I ask ALL my customers - please do not ship ups!! USPS is always on time, and here early. Fedex is not bad either, and DHL is pretty good.

Lol, I should buy stock in LED's, Verizon Wireless, and USPS.... I'm always giving them business!

^^ I agree on the late delivery, they are always last minute for me as well. After 4 is ok since I dont get home until then, but 6 is cutting it close to when the office closes at the apartments. Since I quote to complete the work the day I get the parts, it pushes it close for me.
I agree on USPS. They are always on time and by far the cheapest. Typically over night is just over $20 with insurance added. UPS or fedex will run you upwards of $80 or more for that.. with worse service!

^^ Like thier on time delivery HATE thier service. I get treated like crap anytime I go into one of thier locations. My full time job sometimes requires me to take something there to ship if our shipping dept is already shut down for the day. I have never been in and out in under 30 minutes regardless of whether I was the only person in line.
^^^ If I ship DHL, I go to CopyMax. They have a DHL dropoff there.
I do like DHL's pickup service. They'll come to your door and pick up a package up to 8PM. Costs $3 extra.
But I have pretty much been using USPS for everything lately. It's inexpensive, and I'm going there anyways to ship other things. Plus their Saturday deliveries are very helpful.

i found USPS to be more of a pain than UPS but then again maybe its cause they ship all of my UPS packages right to my work and sign it in there, one guy had them send in Perelli tires there, we thought about stealing em but didnt in the end
i think it depends on where you live, and who the person is dropping off your package. when i lived at my dads house (very nice neighborhood) Fedex always left the package at the door rather someone signed for it or not. now that i live in a trailer on my own, they never leave it at the door and it ____es me off. i have to drive 30 minutes for the nearest pick up office.
im about to have someone send me projector headlights and we're gonna use USPS so we will see if they leave it at the door or not, if they dont its only a 5 mile drive to the nearest post office so that will be fine.

I have nothing but good luck with UPS, and i hate USPS. When i ship USPS and try to track my package while its on its way, they can't ever find it. I have bushings coming in soon too, i bought them last week and haven't even got a confirmation that it was shipped. When i go UPS, i get my confirmation notice same day, and they track there stuff down to the minute, telling you what city its in, when it gets there, and when it leaves.Once i ordered something online that was shipped UPS and it took less than 18 hours to get to my house being shipped by ground. And if it looks bad out, they even wrap it in plastic so it doesn't get wet. USPS last time left my shiz in the rain. And UPS has never been late for me. But USPS has. I guess everyones experiences are different
Wow, I have never had an issue with USPS. They aren't allowed to leave packages outside, so if they did the driver is at fault. Their tracking isnt so real time, but for the huge savings in shipping fees over UPS or Fedex makes up for it in my opinion. I try to stick to them or UPS if possible though.
