Default If I get a new 2007 Scion tC, should i get the mud flaps?

I live in the northeast (NY) and am a little worried about salt from the road being kicked up by the tires and ruining the paint near the wheel wells. Is this a legitimate concern and thus should I get the mud flaps installed.. or should I not even worry about it?

Regardless of where you live , it is a good idea and they blend with the lines of the car . I strongly suggest using them . Cheap to do too

I would suggest them. I have them and they keep a lot of crap off the car. You could go one step further and paint them black (like I did) or have them powdercoated to match your tC!

I gotta agree with the other posts. Very cheap and easy to install yourself. Helps keep rocks from getting kicked up into your paint too.

One word of advice... if you do decide to get them, do NOT order them with the car. Just buy them afterwards online and install them yourself. Save some $.

www.trdsparks.com is your friend! I bought mine from there and installed them in 10 minutes. Easiest install besides the door sills.

I wouldnt get them, mud flaps on a car look no good imo. I get more chips than anyone known to man and I have no problems in the area where the mud flaps would be.

The tC's OEM mud flaps are pretty discrete though. They look pretty decent as far as mudflaps go.

Yes!

'nuff said

Even if you live in somewhere like... Florida (ahem!), it helps a lot because it keeps the dirt that the tires kick up off the paint. Also, I'm sure it helps with small stones as well.

I honestly can't say I even notice tCs with/without mudflaps even though I have them myself. No one will ever really consciously realize they are there without specifically looking for "mudflaps on tCs"

i love em. i thought i would take them out when i installed my lip but i managed to fit the guards with the RS-1 kit. It will look twice as good if u paint it to match ur car color.

yes, oem mudguard are a must. and if you can, have them painted to match if you like. there are pictures of one tc with painted mudguards and it looked very nice. i just left mine plain because i like having silver and black contrast.

Don't get them if you have Ground Effects; screw holes don't match up with the mudguards. I made that 40 bucks mistake
