The best thing you can do is to call various insurance companies and ask for a quote, it does not take that long and it is much more accurate than what we are paying due to different locations and histories.
The tC is classified as a hatchback with insurance.
SOME places can call it a sports car, due to it being a 2 door.
Just shop around for the place that gives you the best rates and wont screw you over (im on state farm due to my motorcycle insurance being DRAMATICALLY lower, but i am in hawaii and motorcycle insurance is ludacris)

I have StateFarm and I pay about $148/month (full coverage w/ a clean record). I'm not sure if each state is different, and I heard that sometimes guy's ins. can be higher then girls. lol :D Also, when I bought my tC they tried telling me that the side air bags can lower your insurance a bit, but when I asked my ins. agent they said its only by a dollar or two.
Esurance classifies the tC as a hatchback.
I pay slightly more than $100 a month for full coverage.
This is with $500 deduct. and a clean record.
This is also under my own name; not under the parents.
Some members might be have low insurance rates because they are under someone else's policy and/or they have more drivers than cars, which means the driver is labeled as an "extra driver."
So if you have 2 cars and mom, dad, and child are on the policy, more than likely the child is the extra driver and the car is quoted under the assumption that one of the parents is the main driver. For those whose parents have clean records this will lower your insurance costs compared to claiming the child as the main driver.
Hope this explains how complicated car insurance can be lol.

I'm on State Farm, paying only about $50/mon for insurance. I am umbrella'd under my parents' policy (their names are on my car but they are listed as driving it like <1% of the time or something like that) and I'm listed as the main driver.

I live in SoCal, and pay $145 a month for insurance for full coverage with no tickets or accidents. Although I have it as a "recreational vehicle" so it costs less than normal which would be $161 a month, but they won't find out until the policy renews for a year
But next month I'll have my three year good driver discount and it'll go down to $107 a month :D
