Interesting info regarding TC tsb's
so I went to the dealership to dropoff the tc for the 15,000mile service (i have 25,000 on it, previous dealership neglected to do it) fuel injector cleaning and Various RATTLES.
I took a tech along for a ride with me to hear the rattles, etc.. then he took me back into the garage bay and showed me the Diagnostic computer they use. He plugged in my vehicle specs (05 scion tc) and searched for common issues/tsbs with the tc as reported by toyota/scion.
A WHOLE list of tsbs/recalls came up!! I wasn't necessarily shocked, but disappointed that the tc seems to have this many issues, and scion corporate isn't really filling us in on them. SO for anyone who thinks THEIR scion (tc) is defect-free....KEEP DREAMIN! i know you spent $17K on it, and you REALLY want it to be what you thought it was going to be..but sorry, reality bites..Time to face the facts and start seeing what we can do to resolve them.
among the tsb's i saw was the rear hatch rattle, steering pull/drift, sunroof creak/malfunction, fuel injector cleaning, and MANY many more. I guess i'm just put off that WE, the owners, have to figure out/diagnose these issues by ourselves, before we can contact the dealer to have them resolved.
I know with a new production model there's bound to be some issue that need to be worked out..but IMO it really seems like scion didn't spend a whole lot of time road testing the tc before it was released, otherwise i don't see how they could have missed some of these issues.

think the tC has alot of TSBs
have him show you other vehicles...not even close
and most of those items that pop up aren't even TSBs, just dumb info we dont need
i.e. PDI info, brake rotor film removal, radiator cap inspection
and so on
but TIS is our magic tool

Um... there are 0 Recalls for the tC.
And before anyone says anything about the Wind Deflector - that is NOT A RECALL. It was a service campaign initiated by Toyota/Scion. There is a difference.
Recalls are generally for part failure that has already reported injuries and is a definite hazard and/or safety concern. These are often ordered from the NHTSB or whatever that organization is.

they are VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGNS
the TSBs are printed for common issues found on vehicles, with fixes
TSB=Technical Service Bulletein

There is a link to the current "known" TSBs for the tC. I quote that b/c those are the ones we know of. There may be more at this point as I don't have access to see them, nor have any others been reported.

the TSBs would NOT have been addressed before pick up of your vehicle
due to the fact you have not yte experienced the issues at hand
drive your car, if you feel something is not right, take it in. They will check TIS for anything outstanding

^^ Ya... that's the thing. You don't need to go in and say "hey, can you check all of these and see if my car applies?" That's just creating unnecessary work for them for a problem you might not even know about or have at that point.
If you think something is wrong, go find out.

Heres one for the xB:

"...Though it's a new model, there are some significant service bulletins. Two address air conditioning (A/C) problems, one for temperature control cable adjustment and the other for installing a higher-capacity A/C system that's available as a kit.
Three additional TSBs address faults that will turn on the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) and set a steering wheel sensor code (C1231), a torque converter clutch code (P0741), and a knock sensor code (P0325). Otherwise this is a mechanically simple vehicle that should provide typical Toyota reliability........"
