Default jacking (lifting) up the car

hey guys,

yesterday when i was putting my winter tire package on, my friend and i was surprised at how the owners manual didnt tell us any other place to jack up the car besides the front center and rear center. we ended up finding some place on the chassis on the sides to jack it up.

where did you guys place the jack?

we accidently dented one part of the car that we thought was part of the chassis when we jacked it up. the car drives fine and all, do you think that that everything is ok?

I think thats for the scissor jacks. That is not a good place for a hydrolic jack.
I want to know the same thing.. I jacked mine up using the engine subframe and it bent the subframe .

I was wondering what snow tire package you got, where you got it and how much. I'm shopping, but haven't been able to decide what I want.

dunlop winter sport m2 on 16 inch takeoff steelies from tirerack.com. the tires were on sale. got them a couple months ago before i got my car. it would have costed me 550 for it shipped. however, since my friend knew some people who could get me free shipping, i got the package for 500.

i was looking into getting the wintersport m3s, but the m2s were on sale.

I know you can use the stock jack where the manual shows, but I have a hydrolic jack and would like to know if there are central lift points in the front and rear that I could use the jack to make a quicker lift from.

That way I could lift the whole front and rear with one swipe.

I have floor stands and wheel chocks for safety.

Any suggestions?

the center jack point can be seen if you look under the car from the front...you will see i believe 4 large bolt heads thats the spot i used...never had a problem...my friend when he was installing my springs just slid the hydrolic jack undr the sides of the car and started jacking...nothing dented in and the car jacked up fine. not to sure where the side points are if you have Bodykit sideskurts
