Well I'm not sure which is the correct way to measure the width. Inside the flanges is 8.5", but from the bottom of the wheel to the top of the wheel with it laying flat is 9.5". I would think that you have to account for the entire wheel since that would affect clearance.

In that case, the specs are 18x9.5 +40.

Edit: According to e-how, you're supposed to measure from the bead mounting surface. In that case they're 8.5 +48. Either way I'm getting 25mm adapters.

I have a D90. I was about to buy a D700 but then bought the wheels. They're supposed to be announcing a couple new bodies this spring/summer so I'll be in the market again this fall.

Hmmm that's weird you have to figure it out yourself Jon. Maybe compare it to wheels you KNOW the size of for sure?

Yep Nikon shooter here. The 5D2 is a nice camera. I was considering one until I heard about the new releases from Nikon. I don't know why it took them this long to add video to the entry full frame bracket.

I'm pretty sure the 8.5 +48 is correct. You can look at the mounting pad and tell the offset is pretty high. At least with these wheels there's no concavity change between different offsets. This is gonna make building them wider a whole lot easier too.

Polishing is no joke.

Worked on one of the lips today. It was the worst out of the 4. Took it from 220 grit to 2000. I still have to put a few more coats of polishing compound on it.

I'm pretty sure the faces are getting painted for spring IA. I have to seal them back up this week so I can get the tires on. I'm thinking 215/40 Federal 595.

Thanks man! I'm gonna do as much as I can this weekend. I still have to strip the center caps, polish 3 lips, and wire disc the mounting surfaces on the faces. And don't be jealous, this only looks fun lol. Discontinued Works should have never been done like this, especially ones with rare DDC lips.

Thanks if I had an extra set of hands I'd take pics of the actual process.

Trust me I want to lol. I have 13 days to seal them up, get tires, adapters, lugs, and an alignment.

I'm already cutting it close. If I order tires they'll take a week to get here. Probably a little less time for adapters and lugs. It takes 48 hours to seal them up so that needs to be done asap.

If I can manage to finish the last 3 lips tomorrow, then I should have time to do the faces, one each afternoon this week. If not, then they have to be painted because I really don't want to be rolling stock for IA again.

Dont paint them. Try to polish them, if you're not done in time just roll with them as is. They're Work Equips. People will like them anyways.
