Default Just got my tC tinted.. Dust = Normal, inside tint film?

Hey guys, I was wondering does anyone have tinted their car and have dust trap inside the tint film. The tint shop said it is impossible to tint it without dust, because he say there is dust flying around everywhere.. Is this true? And do you your tint film have dust trap inside as well?

They probably didnt clean the window and the area around it before applying the tint film so now they're trying to cover their assets.

i'm sure everyone has dust between the widows and tint its just a matter of can you see it really well or do you have to get up close and personal to see it... if you have to get a magnifiying glass out to spot it then i think you being picky but if its a large chunk or impossible to miss then i would have them re-do the job.. just my .02

the tint looks like ____ for the first 5 days after u tint it. dont let ur windows down, just wait it out. it should look fine after a couple days. leave in the sun too, it will cure faster. hope it works out.

yeah they did clean it. But when they pull out the tint film out of the box, I think it caught a piece of dust flowing in the air. The dust is the size of an ant, dead center of my window. I can them, they said its impossible to tint it without dust flying in the air.

Well my tinting place guarantees their tint for poor quality you wont want dust like that on your window go have them change it. My tinting came with a lifetime waranty which was nice at no extra charge that's how confident they were well see. diamond brand I think. that'd suck if it's like dead center and you see it everytime.

The only thing normal is very tiny air bubbles and those should go away within 2 weeks depending on the weather.

The tint shop said its normal, its a dust the size of an ant dead center of the driver door. This really sucks.

Mine has little tiny soap rings I call them....... where they pushed out the bubbles when they applied it......only visable from the exterior.........right after using glass cleaner....in perfect sunlight........at the perfect angle.........it bothered me for a day and I said screw it...........I figured if I did nto see it the first 30 days why bother with it now..........

Some dust of course is normal........but a contaminant ant size is not normal......perhaps they can work something out with you.

Issues with dust? Not myself, but I have had a piece of fiber from the floor mats get stuck in between the film and window though(and this was done at a bay at the Toyota dealer). It was towards the center of the rear window on the driver side and he changed that no problem. Then I noticed another fiber piece of on the driver door window towards the top-center but was like I think he's messed with the car enough lol. It cost me $120 and the tint is by Llumar. I have 35% on the door windows and the rears 5%. A look at the box for the tint has the notes CH(Charcoal) SR(Scratch Resistant) HPR(???).

If it doesn't go away or it's really bothering you....don't bring it to the same place because more than likely they're going to mess up again or not even do anything.

i didn't have any in mine. he washed each window really well before the guy tinted mine so that there would not be any dust.

There is dust all over the place, and it's impossible to get rid of them. What you can get rid of is the "visible" dust. It is normal for the "invisible" dust to be trapped in between the window and the tint, but it's definitely not normal, and I would say it's fugly, if there's "visible" dust caught in between the window and tint.

And when I say "invisible" dust, it probably measures near microscopic sizes.

its true that you cant get away from dust but if its noticeable enough to really bug you, i would ask the shop to re-do it
