Question Key Pad not working

Ok, so I have a 2007 Scion tC.... My key pad for the unlock/lock/panic suddenly stopped working. Put a new battery in it and it still does not work... The little light on the key pad turns on and off with each press but the doors do not lock or unlock.

I'm truly praying this isn't one of those I have to go get a new key and pay 300 bucks to have it programmed..

Any help or direction is appreciated!

Disconnect battery for a few minutes? See if the alarm computer is just jammed up?

Question No key fob, now key fob but no windows!! WTH?

Yee ha! So ok... Unplugged my battery and guess what? My key fob works!! BUT! Now my WINDOWS don't! Well they work, but not like they should. The auto up-down feature isn't working on either door. And the driver side switch for the passenger window isn't responding at all for the passenger window, but the passenger side switch works (without auto up-down feature)...

I unplugged the battery again... Left off for 2 minutes. Lo and behold, windows still don't work right. WTH is going on with this thing??? GRRRRRR!

Now aside from the complaining, it's kind of funny. But irritating. I'd rather have my windows than the key fob working..

Any new ideas???

Thanks again!

It just needs to be reprogrammed. If you check, your sunroof won't be working either. What you need to do is turn the key to the on position and hold down the window down button on each of the doors til it hits the bottom and hold it there til you hear a click or two seconds pass. Then jold the window up button til you hear a click or two seconds pass. Then they'll work fine.

Same thing for the sunroof. Hold it open til it hits the end and you hear a click or two seconds pass, now close it and hold it til the click or two seconds.

Boom! Finished
