Leg Cramping
I have had my 2009 Scion TC for 6 months now and my Girlfriend has had her 2006 Scion TC for 3 years now and we both have experienced Ankle and Leg Cramps on both short and long distrance trips. I don't believe that positioning the seat will make any difference because I have tried it. On all prior cars I have owned the gas pedal went from the floor to about the toes. Also there is almost no spring resistance on the gas pedal. On other cars I have owned there was alot of spring resistance on the gas pedal so that you could rest your foot on it. The gas pedal on Scion is too small, too high and doesn't have enough spring resistance. If you try to rest your foot on it you can't control your cruising speed. It is a poor design. Simply put they need to redesigne the gas peddle of this car.
who would rest their foot on the gas pedal? any car i've ever driven you do that you rev the engine. gee, imagine that?!? a part that when touched, works.. wow!
maybe people need to exercise more so they're not getting cramps sitting down. i'm not trying to be mean, but really.. what's next? it's an unreliable car because people are too lazy to exercise their muscles and get cramps?

I have 2500 miles on my 09 TC and I noticed that the first 1000 were very hard to adjust too. I am coming from a Subaru Forester which sits higher and that is what bothered me. The biggest thing for me is the fact that I drive a manual and in order to be close enough to clutch properly I am too close to the gas to be comfortable particularly with the cruise control.
