My friend who is a VW owner laughs his ___ off when people say American cars...

We usually say American cars are great (our cars)
Canadian cars suck (Fords and such)

here you are complaining about reliability and buy a scion tC. fyi, scion tc got 3 out of 5 for mechanical quality from J.D. power. no different from G5 or a Cobalt.
