Default Lowering a tc with stock struts

Anyone done this with any sucess? Do the struts hold up or do they blow in a hurry? Tell me what spring/strut combos are out there and working well. I wanna take the tc down a little but DO NOT wanna blow struts.

I really don't know about the tC. But from my old integra my struts worn out after about 6 to 8 months. I would replace them all at once, because aftermarket struts will last alot longer then the stock ones.

TRD lowering srpings are made to work with the stock struts. The lifespan of the struts might be slightly reduced, but not a huge amount. If you got springs that were a lot lower, then the struts will wear faster.

I've had my TRD springs with stock struts for more than 6 months and the struts seem to be working the same as new (even with a pothole impact strong enough to give me a flat tire.)

they should be fine on stock shocks as the drop is much at all. But if you want a more comfortable ride, get the trd shocks too

Are these things really worth the money? Do you have to have the dealer install them to keep warranty?

the trds should be fine because its not a dramatic drop, but if you are unsure then just get the damn struts to go along with them to

for the TRD springs you need the dealer to do it or they can void the warantee because they can say if another shop installed them that the error was caused by the other shop..yeh its a _____ i know

be careful how you word that. The dealership can void the warranty on your struts if you have a problem with them after a private install. Not your whole warranty. Once again though, the dealership has to prove that the equipment or installation of that equipment is the problem (not easy to do)

After the trouble I had lowering my Civic Si on stock struts, I won't make that mistake again. You'll thank yourself in the long run for doing it right.
