Default Made the jump! traded in the tC!

Yep, traded in my rattling 9-month old '06 tC for an '06 Mazda MX-5 Miata. My car must have been in the shop more than I got to drive it and the dealer could never fix the rattling issues.

i might be in the same position as you, but i'm interested in the new si. mind telling us how much you got for your tC with how many miles. i wouldn't mind hearing what kind of deal you got on your miata either. feel free to pm me if you don't want to post on here.

i heard the mx-5 is like the car with the most customer satisfaction or something. sweet ride man.

thanks

I got $15k out of the tC (manual tranny) with 5400 miles. I lost a few, but you know what... I am infinitely happier. I love to drive, and with the Miata, I really felt like I was connected with the car. I paid a little over $25k for the Miata (6-speeder w/ sport package and premium package). But yeah, I couldn't find a single flat-out negative review of the Miata.

Hope it works out for you.

You must be pretty small to even fit in that car..

The thing is freakin tiny.

In my opinion going from the tC to that is a downgrade.

I love my tC but I wont put tC up there with Mx5.

Ahh.. you blew that comment/opinion out of proportion brother.. I think he meant the MX-5, but of course some other cars would be an upgrade.. the tC is not for all.. best of luck bro with the new endevore!

Yes, pretty much. Can't really drive the atom in the rain, in the snow. Where would you put the sub and amp?

Sure, its hella fast, but its a go-cart for petes sake

I haven't taken any good pics of mine yet partly because I came home from the dealer at 11pm and it's been cloudy today.

I got the same color combo as what's seen in http://www.clubmiatamonteregie.ca/miata2006_ev.jpg

A downgrade?

- 6-speed manual trans
- torquey engine
- awesome handling
- suspension package for even more awesome handling
- LSD
- HID's
- completely keyless entry and engine start
- convertible
- 4yr warranty w/ free roadside assistance

Hardly. All I lose is space. I'm young and I don't intend on having kids anytime soon.

haha, have you seen the review on the car? It is the leading car in it's class and has gotten nothing but great reviews. How could you call it a downgrade. It's faster and more fun to drive. I wouldn't call it a downgrade because of it's size. Maybe impractical. But not a downgrade. Do some research

Thanks. I'm glad you and others have no rattles. I drive purely for the thrill of it, and the rattles were getting pretty annoying. I like to hear just the asphalt and the radio.

I've read a few things about the car.. They handle great, but hell.. look at the thing, it looks like a clown car.

It is not made for anyone 6' or above.

It would be a nice for someone short & skinny, or a girl..

For $10,000 more, I could have my choice of turbo package, LSD, killer sound system and suspension/wheels put in to my tc with money left over.

I guess I am happy for you that you got a car that you like, but I never did see the point why people post in a scion forum about getting rid of their car for another car.

Sorry to hear your tC didn't work out for you.
