Motorized rear windows
Hey Scion peeps.
I'm back again bringing an idea I'm playing around with to you for thoughts/comments.
I recall seeing this before, but can't seem to hunt it down online. I think it was a gold tC, but anyways, I'm wondering about making the rear side windows of the tC motorized like the front ones. Of course you still would have the b pillar all in tact. Although deleting it and getting that clean Mercedes look from A to C pillar would be great, but then it's just too much trouble having to clean everything up and deal with structural integrity.
So, just would like to hear your comments and offer your help. I think it's a cool idea, but if it's just too much work, then I'll let it go.

I think he's thinking of something along the lines of what bmw and merc have had in the past where the coupe windows are stretch basiaclly the rear window would fold down when the front window goes down and come back up if you put the front window back up. You'd have to remove the pillar for the door frame, which would be a nightmare. Cool thought no bueno

The weather stripping and the glass in the rear are all one piece; this means you would need to fab new weather stripping, find new glass, open the body, and find a mini window motor assembly. It would be cool indeed but too big a task, if you could go about fitting the tc2 bumper and maybe lights to a tc1 I would love you long time

I think it would be cool as hell. Even if they were two seperate windows with the b-pillar still in tact. I mean we have rear reclining seats a rear sunroof why not be able to roll the windows down in the rear as well!!! Im all for this!

That would be cool too.... wonder how much work it would be to do that? Could we just get the hinges and popper from another window and mount? I know my wifes navigator has rear windows that do that but they are electric to0

Also, hit me up a PM, needs to talk about the spoiler idea.
A pop-out would be really easy actually. You'd just have to reinforce the seal around the glass on the inside. Other than that, it's just installing the hinges and the bracket and you're golden.

i'd like to get my rear window pop out like the bmw's... a lot easier and cheaper than having them motorized. dont get me wrong, it would look/be dope but not something i would want... make them pop out better! also do the new face lift!
