A few questions about the kit i asked.
1) Does it kill the cars immoblizer - no ! I was surpised

2)Does removing the battery effect programming - No

3) Auto turn off is 18 mins

Also has a feature where if you need to run into a store really quick, you can pull the key while the car stays running close the door then lock with the remote. Cool feature.

I hear a lot of horror stories about remote starters so i hope all goes well. I will post after a week or so of using the kit and see how it turns out.

 

i lovvvvve mine...its so nice just to be able to get out of the shower and start my car to have it warm up while i get ready for work...not havin to walk outside in the cold!

so... what system is this... the one where you have to like "arm" the car when getting out so it will start in the morning... or do they use a neutral saftey switch to allow starting?

man this sounds really good. whats the going rate for one of these?

 

All i have to do to "arm" the car is: While the car is running pull the emergency brake up, down, and up then pull the key out (car remains running if you did it right) open drivers door and close within 60 sec.( car will then turn itself off).

 

so you can put these on manuals?

They put it in yesterday. The kit is an Astrostart 903

 

yeah its totally worth it, I've had mine for over a year and its fun.. Plus tons of features, it even have a short run turbo that lets the car run for about a minute after you remove the key

 

thats pretty cool the remote kit is designed for manuals only.
