My drive home
Too bad the f@$%er didnt crash and burn into a wall doing it for putting that many lives at risk. Good deal the director was arrested for the film, but he should have been beaten with a bat.
As much as hauling @$$ through town sounds fun, this filmaker could have easilly gotten someone killed just for his film.

Wow! That is stupid
yea, its legendary in automotive history simply because of the sheer degree of ***** it took to do something like that
yea, it was stupid, but at least they planned to do it at that time in the morning when there weren't *as* many people. Still a piece of history, regardless.

Once you get passed the "they could have killed somebody" thoughts, it's an amazing piece of driving. I would guess from the sounds of the engine that he is heal-and-toeing, that's why you hear the throttle blips between down-shifts. My guess is that he was a professional F1 driver who would have lost his race license had they discovered who he was.
