Default my first real drive and a question about mods

first of id like to say i finally got my 2008 flint mica tc and am very excited. anyways the first day i drove it home from the dealer i didn't actually "drive" i just cruised. today i took it out for a more spirited drive: noticed a couple things tires have no traction, clutch is very soft compared to my previous car and gears are very short i had to keep shifting and its so quite i can't hear the revs so i end up pushing it more than 4000 rpm( thats very bad when new right?), handles pretty well for stock, and has some bliind spots but am over it. other than that i love the car, its like my second gf.

second i wanted to know what mods i can get that don't void the warranty both power and visual mods?h and whats a good exhaust for 500 bucks or less. thats the limit on mycredit card?

you gotta do some searching.

in order for an aftermarket part to void your warranty, they have to prove that it caused the failure.

if you put new exhaust on your car, and you headlights stop working, do you think that the new exhaust did that?

also, your in cali, you can't modify your exhaust or intake because the cops will see it and refer you to the state ref or inspection or something, and you'll have to take it off. even if it is just an axel back portion.

yes, the stock tires suck, they always have.

mods you can do, tint, aftermarket taillights, trd rear sway bar, better tires.

oh, and do some searching, there are lots of threads about what to do to cars.

AS for teh exhaust, I think the TRD axle back may be legal in Cali. It won't add any real power but it sounds great.

here are some suggestions, some are links, some arent.

Short Throw shifter from Doc I $90-250
shift **** from whereever you want - $20 - $70
Underdash lighting from Oznium.com - $15-40
DC sports front tower brace or w/e. Search for it, you'll find it. - $120
Eyelids and/or overlays from Bluebatmobile - $20-50
Carbon fiber exhaust heat sheild - $100 shipped
Factory floor mats if they didnt come with - $90 if you search online

That should get you started. Simple things make you appreciate your car. Save the big things until you know what direction you're gonna go with your ride.

You could get some lowering springs for 160 then add install.

Add tint and get the PM Axle Back Exhaust. Noticable difference in tone (but not "hey cop, look at me" loud.) and makes your tC purr like a kitten. Lastly, find some mirror orange bulbs for your turn signals in the headlights. Gets rid of the orange and makes the headlights look more 'expensive' IMO.
