Your second call should be to your insurance company. They will send their own investigator, which may help you.

Do you garage your car? Is there a chance someone may have tampered with it in your driveway?

Sounds very odd, I'm assuming that this wasnt the lugs coming off, but a suspension part failing. Can you see what went wrong, or get some pictures up? I'd like to see.

Hey how about that, you got the same response from scion customer service as I did when I tried to blame them for my roof I thought (almost positive, actually) was defective. When my sunroof shattered they said it'd take 2 weeks to get someone to look at it. So I clarified what they told me and asked "so for 2 weeks, I don't have a car because you guys are slow in getting to me?" their answer: "yes." It wasn't just one bad service rep, because all in all I called them about 3 times, wrote an e-mail, was polite for the first half of our discussions, until they began to aggravate me, and I really think I did everything in my power to try and get my problem solved. They didn't go out of their way for me, that's for sure.

All you people that are always telling people to call scion obviously have never had a problem with your car. That phone number is useless when everytime there's a problem they need to get everything inspected, and who knows who these people are that they need 2-4 weeks to get to you (why can't a dealer inspect it, for example?). I don't know what to tell you, me personally after my experience with scion, I'd get a lawyer immediately if I ever have a warranty claim not being fulfilled, because there's no way I'll ever let scion push me around like that again. I'm not a lawsuit happy jerk either, I really just think it's sad that I feel I'd have to sink to that level to get something taken care of by a car company. Wait it out or talk to a lawyer I guess. All I know is you can't fix your car until it's inspected so you're looking at 5-6 weeks minimum.

just beware if youve had any suspension work done (spring/shocks/sway bars) somewhere other than the dealership they will prolly void your warrenty.

Is this stock suspension, or do you have springs and shocks,

If you have springs and shocks, its probably from someone not tightening down something properly and it wouldnt be scions fault.

So, are you stock?

If it is one issue, then the lemon law is not going to do you much good. I would simply tell the dealer and get them to warranty it. If they will, there should be no wait time. You also had witnesses to what happened, so if the dealer questions the warranty claim let them know that. Calling the number above is going to increase the time taken to fix the issue since they have to send someone out to check out the car. I would try all resources at the dealer first. If this is the only issue you have had with the car, you do not have a "lemon", you have a warranty issue.
