Default My Steering Wheel Controls are not working anymore?

Well, the steering wheel controls for the head unit is not working anymore. The lights don't come on anymore as well. Are there wires that connect to the head unit? Anyone else knows why it's not working? I think that if I take it in, the dealership will blame it on me because I did have the led swap in the steering wheel controls.

It sounds like you may have a lose connection to the steering wheel controls.

There's a molex connector on the back of the steering wheel controls, you'll have to remove the airbag to check it. The wire could have gotten pinched during installation and worked the connector out. Hopefully it's that simple.

Maybe the controls came loose from the back of the HU? There is like a little connector thingy that may not have gotten put back in all the way or maybe was shaken loose? Or, if the LEDs were in series, if one goes out, they all do. I dunno.

yes. if there is a connector on the back of the HU then it could be that cause me and chris took out the head unit twice...we probably forgot to connect that connector...i will see tomorrow.

sheesh... you and chris man....

first rule of thumb, if something doesn't work anymore.... think back to the last thing you did before it stopped working.
*sigh*...

if something had seriously not worked... i would've fixed it for ya.. all you had to do was tell me... no dealership crap needed to be involved.

hey trung...i think it's just the connector that we forgot to plug in...if there is one. I don't think it has anything to do with your install. so don't take it the wrong way...and I haven't involved the dealership...or plan to involve the dealership.

another way to check is if your aux is working or not... if you have something to plug into it anyway...

if that doesn't work... then.. yeah... oops.. connector..
