yeah in the 2 weeks i've had it, i've had my windshield broken by a rock, paint scratches from god knows what, and now today my front alignment is off already!! Now mind you i dont take this car off roading i really just drive it to and from work and leisure weekend driving....... This car is becoming a really big pain in my a$$ already but i love it so much anyways..

now my question is, with the front alignment am i gonna hafta pay out of pocket to have it fixed or is that part of the bumper to bumper??

with you having it for only two weeks, you should take it in to the service department and tell them the alignment is off. if there are no scuffs on the wheels they should check it for free. if there are scuffs, you will probably have to pay.

It wont be covered by warranty, b/c technically it falls under the 'wear & tear' category. However, being that you've only had the car for 2 weeks, they might fix it under good faiith b/c there is little chance it was caused by abuse or negligence according to what you've said.

I believe you have 12k miles to adjust the alignment. I would do it as soon as possible though. Scratches on the paint will depend on where you park. When I park I park away from everything to not get scrathes.

Check your manual on warranty. Usually alignment is covered for first 12K miles.
Sorry to hear about all the other stuff...but that just means it's less likely to happen to me.

hey take it in. I had the same prob with my xb and i took it in and they took care of it.. they said sometimes when its on the truck being shipped the alignment goes off a little, so they did it for me for free. it should be done for free since its still new.

the aligment is covered under the warranty only if there is no damage to the under carriage and the wheels. My car, too, pulls a little to the right, but I have curb rash on my right-front wheel. Would it be enough for them to declare that as wear and tear? There is also a diagnostic fee if they check it and it comes out to be a wear and tear issue.

The first 12 months or 12,000 miles are considered to be the adjustment period. The vehicle is covered from bumper tp bumper including wear items such as light bulbs, brakes and wiper inserts.

Under normal use the alignment should not be a problem. If you have problem take it to your local dealer they will be glad to help.

Not sure about Toyota's warranty with the Scion lineup, but when I believed my PT Cruiser was out of alignment and the dealership first suspected it was the badyear tires. I had the bad badyear tire replaced and the pull stopped. The dealership service manager told me that it would have been covered under warranty, and that was with 12k miles on the odometer.

Are they putting the badyears on the tC? If so, you may have to rotate the tires to see if the problem goes away. If so, then flip them from front to back to see if the problem returns. If so, may be radial pull or radial push. Goodyear tires are horrible.
