All I can say is.... Thank You Someone finally needed to say something. As a Scion salesman I try my best to explain everything in the car when I deliver it, so I have yet to have a customer come back complaining about something now working right. I belive that if other salesmen just spent an extra 10 mins explaining EVERYTHING in the car then there would be a lot fewer people coming in and complaining about things that are beyond the tech's abilities to make right.

Some of the stuff tC customers are complaining about little things. If you want a car that has no creeks and rattles, you need to spend more than $17,000. Buy a BMW or Mercedes, spend $50,000. Ya'll can't expect the world from a vehicle that is still considered and economy car.

Well my tC rattles in 3 different places. I'd at least like the moonroof to be fixed. Sounds like someone F'ed up the torque specifications. Anyway I'm bringing it in at 5,000 miles. New cars are expected to be relatively free of defects... That's the whole reason why I purchased a NEW car. I'll admit it's not a big deal but hey I spent the extra money to get a new car with a warranty and I intend to use that warranty to its fullest extent.

I can't believe Scion reps are on this Website complaining about its customers. That's a HUGE no no for customer service. There are many people who have unreasonable expectations and they are difficult to deal with. Go rant and rave in the back of the shop with your buddys where no one can here but don't post it for the world to see. There are many visitors to this site that haven't bought a Scion yet. I'm sure this thread will not give them a good impression. I know if I didn't already have my xB, I'd be thinking twice about buying one from dealers who apparently don't seem to care about their customers.

Read the waranty manual. Under the page that says "what is not covered" includes creeks and rattles. They are considered normal wear and tear... every car gets them.

Yeah i believe that 16000 car, you should not expect much of, but my scion is comming next week, and i wont be happy if it rattling the day out of the lot, thats not wear and tear over a time period, thats just bad manufacturing, my brothers accord coupe which was just a couple thousand mor is solid, with no rattles, and my friend value package civic for 14000 has not rattles at all also, so i wouldnt say you need to get a 50000 car for no rattles, but it still is a 16000 dollar car and u should be happy with how much options and stuff it comes with just stock

Most of it are things we have no control over and yet you INSIST on being ignorant ****** and yelling, swearing and on occasion THREATENING us because you find certain aspects of the car "unacceptable" as one old bastard put it when he did not like how hard he needed to press the radio cover to get it open. AFTER we went ahead and replaced it anyway for him under waranty and then... go figure... it was exactly the same!! But noooooo he's so special out of everyone else in the world that owns a car... he's gonna call Scion and complain... and when I showed him my car and explained that it was normal for the vehicle he just got ____ed at me cause I was right!!! So screw you all!!! We dont buIld the friggin cars... it's the first in a line and we are learning the car as well!!!

GROW UP AND DEAL WITH IT!!!! ITS JUST A FRIGGIN CAR AND WE ARE DOING OUR BEST!!!

Sorry about some people who gave you a hard time. I can understand how you feel dealing with difficult people. However, when you are part of the customer service dept, you can expect to see all kind of people with different attitudes. No matter where you work, as long as you have something to do with customer service, be ready to see some as*. I have friends who work in service dept in Best Buy, Circuit city, and malls. Some of the stories (about customer, of course) they told me were ridiculous/unbelievable. However, they always brush it off and laugh at them behind doors.

It's all business. Nothing personal, my friend. I know it's tough, but patience will pay off.

It's just a "friggin" car that I and many other people on this board are working our asses off for. If anyone should "deal with it" it's you. You work in the wonderful world of customer service. So do I. If I told one of my customers "grow up and deal with it" I wouldn't have a job for very long. You are representing the Toyota Motor Corporation and you have a job to stand by the product you are selling and honor any request to fix any defect in manufacturing. These creaks and rattles are not "normal wear and tear". These problems lie within the manufacturing process. I can only imagine how many people who once wanted a tC are now looking elsewhere for a car because of these little defects.

I understand where you're coming from and I too get VERY frustrated at times with customers... but it's business and it's part of keeping customers happy and coming back and bringing you more business. If I had a dime for every time a customer made a complaint which I thought was stupid I'd be able to afford 100 more tCs.

Its a "Friggen" Car that we paid good money for!

As for people treating you like ____ and theatening you- THATS NOT RIGHT! When customers treat me like crap, I give them the same service as I would give to someone eles. But as we all know - You get ALOT more with sugar than you do with Vinegar!!

Yes, threatening and cursing customers you DON'T have to deal with... however the rattle/creaking issue is a legitimate complaint and should be dealt with promptly.

all of my extra scholarship money is going to the car (payments that is, not aftermarket) and I work to afford gas and insurance and other things, while going to school for 15 credit hours (17 next semester). Owning a tC has put a nice damper on my financial status, but at the same time, it's worth it. But that story is not for this topic.

The biggest problem is people not reading manuals, or simply choosing ignorance understanding their car. Then, to add insult to injury, many people like that group in in forums like these to complain about trivial things that are to be expected, then some douche comes in "just take it to dealer and demand they fix it" and people take their word and go marching down to their service department to, say, get their radio cover replaced.

It's bound to happen, when you target a younger audience you target less rational people..

But, I'm sorry, if you don't like your job, which is DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS, then find another job. Posting in these forums, with your location listed, saying you are tired of customers with stupid problems, isn't helping anything.

you know, normally i would stick up for people in my industry because i have to deal with the same stuff they have too. but, you guys should be fired. i don't think scion wants people like you handling customers. don't get me wrong, i wanna strangle customers too, but i remember that although there are cars that cost much more than the scions, that 17 thousand dollars is still a lot of money. generally people buying 17 thousand dollar cars, are buying those cars because thats what they can afford, so it is a lot to them. maybe you're a millionaire and YOU think 17 thousand isn't a lot to pay for a car. but, you're not them are you? i wouldn't want my $400 pocket bike rattling.....sheesh.
