Need info about ground effects
Well spring is comin up, and w/ income tax money plus money from work im gonna have some money to spend on the tc. Im lookin into gettin the ground effects and i saw mcgeorge has the pieces in just primer.... so i'm thinkin about just ordering them that way and having my dad paint them because he does this stuff all the time on cars and saving a bunch of cash that way.
My question is has anyone installed them themselves if so is it hard/how long does it take/ and last but not least why is it on mcgeorges site there's a rear left and rear right piece... shouldnt the rear bumper attatch all in one... but i dont know thats why im asking cuz there's no pix of the pieces so i wanna find out from people who have this... thanks so much guys!

istalling a bodykit is way more than just bolting up a couple of bumpers. i am not familiar with mcgeorge or the tc kits, but all bodykits are pretty much the same. they dont fit. you have to modify them to make them look good. its alot of work. as far as them coming already primed, plan on block sanding all that off and repriming the parts at least twice. if the kit is fiberglass you will run into pinholes (air pockets) in the fiberglass. you will have to use body filler on those. the parts are usually pretty wavey, so if you were to just paint them they would look like a$$. i bought a lip kit for my xa and the front peice fit pretty good, however, the rear peice was a mile off. it didnt bother me because i am moulding the peice right onto the bumper for a smooth look. i hope this info helps.
