New Design Floor Mats?
That R is for "rice"

Nobody sees em but me, and I don't think they look all that bad. I could do without the "R" but whatever. They're only there till the rainy season ends. Then back to plain carpet mats.
I wonder if there were two releases of the floor mats? I've had mine since October, with no wear in the carpet, and my carpet is nice and thick... not thin like someone else noticed..... hmmmmmmm I did take the carpet out during snowy periods in the winter... but only a couple of times cause I drive my other car when it is nast out.
Yes the stock ones are covered under warranty if purchasedwith the car. No the RS1's mats are not different except for the little RS1 on them. The stock ones have a rubber undermat and the carpet can be removed.

i bought mine from trdsparks.com, i asked them what i should do when they wear out, they said i could get a replacement one from them, i hope i don't have to pay shipping. i wonder if the dealership would honor them for replacement??
mine hasn't worn out yet, i've only had them a month and there is a definate depression under the clutch and in between the gas and brake. these mats suck

yea i drive in heels quite a bit and that's why my carpet tore.. one under the clutch and a big one right in front of the gas pedal.. they developed very quickly... i'll point it out to my dealer but highly doubt they'll help me out with it.. i think i bought mine with the car, they say "scion" on 'em.. not sure if those are just the ones normally included or what.
After reading this topic, I called my dealer to get the "new" floormats. They ordered me a set, but turns out they were the same as the originals. They told me that the originals are the only mats they've heard of - either way, got me a new set of mats for free.

Yes, they are covered by warranty....I had my dealer replace them. They work di*ks about it first....but I was firm and made them replace them.
If you can't get the service dept to fix them...then ask to talk to the SCION Rep. and that person can take care of it for you..
Problem Solved....at least for now.

I drive in heels alot of the time coming too and from work also, so I've got a nasty wear near my clutch.
I'm almost doubting that the dealer will replace this under warranty though... I did buy the mats with the car. But still...

70 bucks? Where the hell are you buying yours from? What a rip!
$70 is cheap for these mats. Where are you getting yours from? The OEM Scion mats are like $100+ from the dealer. Mine were $80 from eBay from McGeorge (just got them yesterday actually). I haven't seen MUCH better than that. If you find the OEM mats cheaper elsewhere, please, do share.
I got mine replaced last week... Obviously Scion knows there was something wrong w/ the original style since the new ones have the foot pad, but I think it might be left up to the dealerships to replace or not...
