Hey everyone Im new here. I just bought a new silver tC today. I must say that I love it. Its a quick little car. Fun to drive... As far as the brakes I dont think they are too bad. Better than anything ive had before (93 civic ex). Is there anything I should look out for in the first couple thousand miles that might go wrong?

congrats! i've had a few civics in my time too.. stock, must say i like the tC a lot better.

the only problem i've had is when driving off of a steep driveway at an angle.. i've heard my moonroof creaking/flexing.. it made a popping sound once, that kind of freaked me out, but nothing other than that.

Congrats on the purchase!

Now take care of her! And if you have any questions, before
you ask, search the forums as there is a very good chance
it's come up several times before!

Welcome to the forums!!

I just cant wait to start modding this biatch. My civic was hooked up, I changed the engine in it myself and until recently i loved it but it got hit a few months ago.

One other thing that I LOVE about this car compared to the civic is teh torque, I down____ so much less with this car going around turns and uphills compared to the civic because of that nice 2.4 liter.

It just takes some getting use to. I did the same thing the first week I owned my car. I would always hit the gas while braking, but you get use to it.

The pedals do take a while to get used to, yes. I wear size 16 shoes so it's even more of an adventure. The other thing I wasn't used to at first was the clutch. I've always owned manuals and it was a nice change to actually have a clutch that grabs.

As for upgrading, I went from a 93 Integra LS and a 94 Jeep Wrangler to my Scion.
