Noise after startup and drive...?
So after I put it in drive and go a couple of feet, I hear some sort of "thump" coming from passenger side tire/engine area. Another thread mentioned that xB's have a similar sound, and that it's just a "brake test". Is this also the case for the tC? So sorry for the ignorance, please help me guys! Thanks!

Ya i got something like that too, and I do not believe it is normal, because I can never make it to make that noise every single time.
I took mine to the dealer and they said nothing is wrong with it... they couldn't get it to make that noise... but I know it has to be something

I have an AT. I don't hear it in Reverse, only in Drive. Just found this in the manual:
"You may hear a click or motor sound in the engine compartment for a few seconds when the engine is started or just after the vehicle begins to move. This means that the anti-lock brake system is in the self-check mode, and does not indicate a malfuntion."
Maybe thats what we're hearing, although I wouldn't describe the sound as a "click" or "motor sound". Anyway, thanks for your responses ya'all.

My 07 5-speed makes the same bump noise after I start to back out of my driveway.. It sounds like the ABS priming up to me.. My past 2000 Prelude did the same thing.. However, my 02 WRX does not.. Different strokes for different folks in the car biz, I assume.
