Default Noooo! Chip in my moonroof :(

I was closing my moonroof the other day and noticed that there's a big chip in the front edge on the underside NO idea how a rock could have it it so precisely. It would have had to hit it EXACTLY on the edge of the glass for it to chip the way it did. Either that, or a rock got into the housing while it was open and cracked it when the moonroof was closed again... Or it's a glass defect. haha. I'm not counting on that though...

BOO.

Something hit the front panel of my sunroof, the part that acts as a wind deflector, and shattered it. Funny thing is, the roof was closed while it happened. It was about $750 total in damages, about $600 for the part itself (just the glass). That's the smallest section of glass on the roof. I wouldn’t want to see what the other 2 sections cost. Sorry to hear yours got chipped.

well I have glass coverage on it so it won't be that bad... but I'm going to hold off until I have to do it. It's not cracking yet, just a chip so far

I feel your pain. I ran through a "storm" of tumbleweeds out in buttf*** Texas in the panhandle and got my car scratched all to hell and a chip in my windshield, more of an annoying bubble in the windshield than a chip. You can't feel anything on the outside, but you can see the bubble in the glass, I don't know if it's fixable.

I'd be worried about the panel shattering. You might want to have someone check it out. One little chip could compromise the integrity of the whole piece of glass. I wouldn't expect it to start cracking, I think it will just shatter at the slightest impact.
