odometer reading at purchase
Mine had 40 something on it just because they had to do a dealer swap to get me the color I wanted. My salesman was the only one to drive it before me. He personally went down and picked up my tc and drove it all the way back to my dealership. So, I don't really mind.
Went to sign on my BCP auto knowing it had about 1600 miles. When I finally test drove it had 2300 plus miles. Is this really a new car? Scratches on the door skins, stain on the head cover, white dog hair, stale cup o' coffee in the cup holder, smelled kinda like pickles.....full price!--owners wife though she could drive it a couple months and still good as new. Now I'm Waiting on my MT IIP 2 weeks! Should have 13 miles from the shipping yard and another 100 from having the leather installed. Salesman promised to be gentle! Small price to pay for leather. Would love to take that little 1 mile to 2 though. Anyone get it on dead zero? Some sucker already bought that BCP...one in every crowd I guess---is there any chlorine in your gene poo?
If you get it right off of the truck it comes at 1 mile. After they do all of the check in stuff and take it to fill up with gas it has around 8 miles on it...
I got to check mine out right after they got it off of the truck.

i was there the night it came off of the truck. what a beautiful thing it was. after the full tank of gas and all that other stuff that they need to do it only had 3 miles. i was so happy now there are over 11000 miles 7 months later. yes i do a lot of cross state driving......

take it home and baby it with the neglected waxing
give it time to fully cure before waxing...
And, BTW....
miles on your car really isnt a sign of abuse or mis handling. Techs dont spend a lot of time with your car. They normaly get paid by how many cars the "set up" for sale. There is an inspection that each car has to go through when they come off the transport and they should be inspected for damage as soon as they come off the transport.
TO sum it up, dont sweat if there are a few miles on your car. 20 miles should be the limit if you are buying an "instock" vehicle. On the same token, if your cae has less than 3 miles, you may wonder if your car was properly inspected and set up for you by your dealer.
If you buy something which isnt on the lot, and the dealer "trades" with another dealer for your car, you can expect to see a few more miles, maybe over 100, depending how far the car has to be driven.
The bottom line is that I highly doubt that at any dealership, sales people or service people would abuse a car on the lot for fun. The reason? -> In the auto industry abd especialy sales, there is little time for horsing around. If a sales person is waisting time drivin cars around with out potential customers, you arent making money

well mine was a dealer-swap, so it had to drive from glendale to san juan capistrano. this was at my request since i wanted a manual transmission car. since the city centers of glendale to san juan capistrano is about 63 miles, my car must have had about 6 miles (or less, depending on the mileage of dealer-to-dealer) on it before it made the trek to meet me. how do i know all of this?
there were 69 miles on the odometer when i got it. hehehehehe....

I had 3 on mine, all my other new chars where in the double digits by time I got them cause they where allready on the lot. So it was a nice feeling and now almost two months later 1020 miles and one driver side window later (still ____ed it got broken into the other week.)
zero. I got mine off the truck
Although, it said '1' when they drove it around front after we finished the paperwork for it. I guess driving off the truck and into the dealership, then back onto the lot, then back out to me finally totalled a mile.

It had just arrived at port that day. My sales rep is the bomb!
