Default Opinions on Air Filters ?

Anybody have any ideas which low-restriction filter would be best: K&N or TRD? My xB needs to breathe a little better above 4000 rpm.

TIA

I would have to say K&N because of past experiences but personally I use the Blitz SUS air filter on my Injen short ram intake

Just installed my injen short ram today and I must say that I am really impressed with how the engine breathes now. Sweet sound after about 3k rpm.[/list]

the K&N is a CAI. Colder air makes the engin happy. The Injen short ram is good too, and they also have a CAI. PM if you want to get one.

How is your intake running with the blitz sus air filter? I got a Injen short ram intake too. Got to buy an air filter soon.

Don't go with just filter, it is a waste. Spend alittle more and get a CAI. I have the typhoon one by k&n and it is great.

Yeah I agree, just the filer is expensive for what you get, plus it doesn't make a cool sound.

If you do decide to go with the drop in filter its not a bad choice. As long as you modify the factory air box intake snorkel. REMOVE IT ! go to pep boys or auto zone they sell 3 inch flex intake hoses, clamp the one end where the factory snorkel attached to the air box and route the other end down in between the inner fender and front bumper. the hoses should expand from 1 ft up to about 3 so you have plenty of room to play with. And oh by the way those of you who want that COOL INTAKE sound this mod will definitley give you that sound.
