i see a lot of p0012 codes but with no oil light on..

what would it mean if this code comes on with the oil light?

- Dirty or low engine oil
- Faulty variable valve timing (VVT)
- Faulty oil control valve (OCV)
- Variable Valve Timing (VVT) harness is open or shorted
- Oil Control Valve (OCV) harness circuit is open or shorted
- Damaged ECM

This could also be the cause of it jumping a tooth on the timing, worn oil pump or the oil deposits are causing blockage from not changing the oil. How many miles are on the engine?

 

well that motor has about 100k we changed the oil pump a few months ago because the oil light came on and had no oil pressure

after the new pump everything was good until now the oil pressure lights back on

we swapped the motor for a new one
went to crank it and it wont turn over it started to one of the new spark plugs fired but thats it
the crank wont make a full turn when using a ratchet

 

Sorry...been out of town. Did you make any headway with the engine cranking?
