I still like the oem lip trunk spoiler even though it is pricey.

Definitely my favorite so far (although I like the lip, but it's too expensive. A knockoff lip for half the OEM price I might spring for.)
I like this one better than the OEM pedestal spoiler, but I think the OEM lip spoiler is the best (but also agree that it's pricey for what you get). I'm going for a little more subdued look these days.

out of all of these, i would go with the stock one, they all make the car look like a civix to me, and i HATE the look of the civix.....

iv decided to keep it Stock> and add the body kit......

i don't think the tC will look good with any pedestal type spoiler cause its not a true lift back, its a 2door coupe in profile. its like putting a pedestal spoiler on a 3series coupe.

I really wish a company would put out a spoiler like the one made by Zender that I used to have on my Jetta. I think this style of spoiler would greatly compliment the tC's rear.

...which looks great if you ask me.

3-series coupes have always had pedestal spoilers available (and the previous M3 models came with them stock or optional from the factory.) I think they look great.

It's more about how the particular spoiler goes with the car than whether it's a lip or a pedestal spoiler or whatever. I also think a more substantial lip spoiler could look good on the tC.

It does look an awful lot like a civic I saw on the interstate yesterday.

Sorry for the low quality, I was far away and tried to catch a pic before the interstate split. The pics are hella zoomed in through my dirty windshield.

Not to be a bigger dick. Just about anything you do in your car while driving is not smart. Changing the radio station, not having both hands on wheel unless needing to shift. Any thing that takes your eyes & mind off whats in front of you, aint that smart. I think most of us do it, so who are we to say something about what others do. Now Im sorry if you are one of those ppl, who drive with both hands on the wheel & never take your eyes off the road in front of you. Unless its to look in a rearview mirror, or at a dead stop to look both ways.

Haven't you ever talked on a phone, changed cd's, eaten food, etc. while driving?
Those aren't very safe either.

Seeing it on a tC. I like that spoiler. The legs & mounting parts could be much smaller IMO.

:D Scion requested that the company (based in michigan) round it out and thicken it up a little-The designers I've met and they agree with you and me about the mountings. You really have to see one in person-the wing does jut out a little more and evens out the rear end of the car

Looks like it was stolen off a Grand Am. I really don't like it.

I must agree... that spoiler is hideous. Come on now, they could've come up with something a lot better. I'm somewhat disappointed in that we've waited all this time and this is what they come up with? Hopefully companies will be bringing out some good stuff after SEMA... I would not waste my money on that.

At least we get to pick pedestal, lip or none at all-plus aftermarket stuff too. Its all about making it your own. Just a little bulletin-TYC LED rear tail lights for tC-planned to be out by January-hopefully we can get that a little earlier as well.

Any idea of what the basic design of the TYC will look like?

first picture is okay and i don't mind those on the bmw. if you look closely though its integrated to the body of the car which doesn't make it a pedestal spoiler.

definition of pedestal.
Main Entry: 1ped·es·tal
Pronunciation: 'pe-d&s-t&l
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle French piedestal, from Old Italian piedestallo, from pie di stallo foot of a stall
1 a : the support or foot of a late classic or neoclassic column -- see COLUMN illustration b : the base of an upright structure

this is more of the classic pedestal spoiler.
