Default Planning to check out the new tC today, questions!

Hey i'm new here.. so i'ma newbie.. anyhow..

I'm gonna check out Longo/Wonderies (626) area .. In about a few hours. And i was wondering what people around here got their cars for with what mods? And are the mods from TRD worth it? Any improvement much at all? I also read earlier that S. Cal dealers are pretty limited on what they have at the moment is this true? -_-

mods i was looking at..
ground effects?
fog lights
exhaust system (trd)___is it low and strong? or loud and annoying
__none of these are for sure i don't really want to void the warranty

edit; is the strut buy worth it from trd?

thanks in advance

Dont get the ground effcts, totally not worth the money.
Fog lights look real nice IMHO, but at around $400 a pop Id think twice.
TRD Exhaust has the best sound IMHO compared to the other companies, its a real low deep tone, not ricery at all.
As for another trd mod, I would get the TRD springs as the stock high of the car is insanely high (*stares at car).

I disagree, I love the ground FX and the fog lights. I had the muffler on my last TC and it wasn't that loud, but my new one doesn't have it and I like it so much better.

i would not get the ground effects or the fog lights, both are too expensive, wait and buy them later and install them youself you will save a ton of money, ground effects kit isnt all that great cant really tell the difference.

Get the trd exhaust, sounds great gets louder around 2.5k miles, get the lowering springs, and the trd quickshifter, all these will add a little to your cras performance. But Ge and Fog lights wont. and hey the performance parts wont cost you 1300$ either.

GE maybe not for everyone, but i like it. the muffler adds maybe 2 horses, what a performance!

I got the fogs, exhaust and kit from the dealer. its really nice, but you can save yourself some money by buying from a sponsor here on the board. cheaper parts than the dealer, but youd have to install it yourself.

i dont know about you, but since this was my FIRST NEW car, i had to splurge

I went with Ground effects and couldnt be happier, obvioulsy not a performance gain, but if you can't tell the difference in body styling you might need some glasses

I did NOT get the fogs because I hate how they are set in on the car.... my personal preference would be to have them spread out farther from middle. Something more in line with the head lights. Like MOST cars

I don't have experience with the TRD exhaust system, but from what I can tell, you can buy better known systems for less $$ and install yourself.
