Default Powersteering rattle noise

Hey just wondering if anyone else's tC shakes when you turn the wheel all the way to one side at a stop... is this normal?

Would it help to change the power steering fluid?

thx.

Nope. Mine turns fine. If your car has different wheels and is lowered that might be the problem.

yea, I get that as well. I have an '06 and I think its just the rubber on the ground. My car isn't lowered (yet) so I don't think it's that big of a deal.

I've always had this problem. People told me it shouldn't happen, but oh well.

If your talking about sitting idle and turning it all the way in one direction til it doesn't turn anymore then yeah my kinda does like a slight vibration, I think its just the motor trying to help the powersteering pump out but since its idling you feel the vibration as the motor loses a few RPMs. I think its totally normal. As long as its not doing it while your doing "normal" steering adjustments like one complete turn of the steering wheel and itsn making noises, specially whining ones then your good to go. I'm assuming by shake you meant vibrate, if yours is shaking and shuddering then yeah there might be something wrong then.

yup don't hold it at the stops (max left or max right), it will make noises, and it can damage the power steering pump if held their too long (too much pressure).

Wait, let me get this straight:

1) You're turning the wheels while the car is stopped
2) You're holding the wheel at full lock

Yea, I'd say you have bigger problems than strange noises when you're killing your PS pump and scrubbing tires for no reason.
