Hi,
I had the windows tinted on my new BCP tC last Sunday and rolled down my windows for the first time today. When I rolled the windows up, the window seal on the bottom of the driver side window got caught and the edge of the seal flipped up (normally the edge is facing downward). I rolled the window all the way down and could see that the seal was inverted on itself for a good ten inches. I'm able to push the seal back into place but every time I roll the window down and then back up, the seal catches at about the midpoint of the window and gets f'd up again. Any thoughts on this? Has anyone had a similar problem? I'm going to take my car into the dealership and have them take a look but won't be able to get it in for a couple of days and wanted to bring this up. Thanks, Jayme

you should take it back to the tint shop. maybe they made a mistake. it was probly the first scion they have tinted and who knows there could be something new t them. most shop i know are very helpful with things like that. just a thouht.
That happens sometimes when getting the windows tinted. The people who tint the windows try to get the tint as far down as they can (so there aren't any untinted areas). When you are allowed to roll the window down, roll it down, then back up. If it doesn't catch, then roll it down and get a pen, screwdriver, chopstick, etc, catch the lip, press/crease it back into place, then roll the windows back up. That should fix it. If not, take it back :?

Yeah I would take it back to where you got it tinted. When they tint the windows they have to partially unhook or remove the side panel to have complete access to the window, so when they put everything back together they could have easily forgotten to refasten a thing or two. And you wouldn't find out about it till days later cuz you have to wait for the tint to dry. But that where I would go.

Thanks everyone for helping me out with this one. You were all right :-). I called the tint shop and they had me bring the car in. They said that they "tuck the seals" when they do the windows so the tint can lay flat. On most cars, the seals go back by themselves (the seals should have the edge facing up) after you open and close the windows a couple of times. My drivers door seal sort of got stuck halfway and the passenger was stuck in the tucked position. The guy was able to get the seals back into the normal position so now I can use my windows again! Woo hoo. Hopefully, no one else will have this problem (especially if you are 30+ miles away from your tint shop like me). -Jayme
