35% all around. Looks Cleaner!

I went 20% all around with SunGuard which appears lighter than a 3M 20%. Kinda odd. But i like it. The factory so-called tint is basically a UV treatment, virtually transparent.

 

i got mine done 35 in the front, 20 in the back, and 10 on the hatch....i think. Looks good, but the passenger windows are a little light.

 

hmm ok good, i was told that we had to have our factory tint removed before anyone will add tint to it is why i asked... im doing 20 all around, minus the front glass but ill do the top strip in front too

 

There is no "factory tint". Pretty much all automotive glass these days comes with UV and light blocking properties. The glass itself will allow about 70% of light to pass through. There is nothing affixed to the glass when you buy the car, so nothing can be removed.

 

Not right now, but I'll do a photoshoot next time I wash the car. The 18/50 mix is not my ideal choice, but it's better than having nothing on the fronts. I was so happy with having 18% on all 6 pieces of glass. It looked so consistent and clean and flowing. It just didn't work out with the law, so I had to make a compromise.

 

i think 18% all around (except the windshield) is legal here...lucky us :p

 

i had limo tint all around and got paranoid since cops drive around a lot in my area. then i switched to limo in the back and the fronts were 35%. during the day you can see in but at night you cant. haven't gotten hassled ever since *knock on wood*
