Ok, so the cigarette lighter located by box and arrow in the pic has somehow shorted out.

What I'd like to know is (and I've searched the repair manual and microfiche, which isn't hard when you're not a premium fellow (something I'll have to consider rectifying)) what is the part number for the lighter and is it possible to order the part separately of the rest of the unit.

That area is for the 12 volt outlet. The cigarrette lighter is located in the little cubby hole beneath the Head Unit and Climate Controls. What exactly are you replacing? From your diagram it can't be the lighter. So you are looking for a different Part #

 

True. I misspoke. the 12 volt outlet is what I need to replace. I guess it just reminds me of the ciggy lighter.

 

So are you looking to replace the Cap? or something?

 

And you're sure it's not just a blown fuse?

Initially when it happened, I went over a few checks to ensure it was the socket and not the parts, then I went fuse hunting. About to go out and check the fuses again, so I'll be sure to keep my new verbiage in mind!

Ahem, well it would seem that yours truly just blew a fuse. Once he went out armed with his new word, he was able to locate and replace said problem with no trouble.
