quick question about my scion tc
hey guys how's it going? i'm new here as i just got my scion about 3 days ago.
it's an 07 tc which i bought used, and i just have a quick question about ipod integration for it i was hoping that i might be able to get some help with from some of the more experienced owners.
in the center console, under the armrest, there are 3 plugins, a cigarette lighter, an AUX port, and another one that says IPOD. since i bought it used, i'm not exactly sure if it has the ipod-ready headunit or not. so i guess my question is, what exactly do i need to plug into that third port to make my ipod work? any input at all would be greatly appreciated.
thanks for the help!

His problem is that he doesn't know if his head unit can even recognize his ipod. If your head unit has one **** in the middle of it that says volume, you probably do not have an ipod head unit. If you have two ***** on each side of your headunit, and the right side says Multi-Selector or something, then you have the ipod head unit.
Here is the pic of the oem head unit that is ipod ready:

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info Rooke, I do have the unit with the 2 ***** on either side. Mine looks exactly like this: http://www.autobytel.com/images/feat...od_inpick3.jpg (and since it says Ipod Connected in that picture, I think that is probably a good sign)
And this is the closest thing I can find to what the inside of my armrest looks like, with the 3 ports.

Except in my car the one closest to the bottom says Ipod on it and flips open, where as in that picture it's blank.
Maybe I should just take it up to a Scion dealer and ask them what I should do, eh?
There are a ton of different adapters and plugs of all shapes and sizes on ebay and I have no idea which one I need.

If you have the ipod jack you have the ipod headunit. The aux port is for any mp3 device, but will not displaysong info like the ipod one will. You need the scion Ipod cable any dealer probably sells it I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow and upload it, but the Ipod cable plugs into the charging port of the ipod not the headphone jack
