Default removing dealer decals

Whats up all!! I just got my 08 tC and i was frustrated with the dealer decal so i went out to my tC with a hair dryer, heated the decal. peeled it right off with my finger nails. Used some water to remove excess glue. Now my tC is unmarked!!!

^ That'll work with any decals glued to the car, including the tC, xA, and xB name badges. Also is nice to do on a cold day

One guy I know has xBAt on the back of his xB. This process obviously works in reverse, too

I ordered my tC and I told the dealer DO NOT put their dealer sticker on it and they were cool about it. With my last car though, I told the dealer the same thing and they said they have to put it on. I said, "fine, but if you do, you'll be taking it right back off." They DID put it on and I made them take it off. Idiots....

^Its a dumb policy, most likely, depends on how ****-retentive the GM of the dealership is.

My approach was to plan ahead... I had them add to the sales contract that if there were any dealer marks on the car other than an easily removable license plate frame that I wouldn't not take delivery of the car, and that I'd buy one from the other guys across town. Sure enough, when they called and said my car came in, it was as clean as a whistle. Just had to pop the tC badge off, and I was all set.

we don't bother putting dealer stickers on cars at the store I'm at; just the plate frame. I think we're the only dealer in the area that doesn't put dealer stickers on the vehicles in inventory.

I took "Carmax" decal off of mine with Goo Gone onto a paper towel. Worked quite well but make sure to wash any extra Goo Gone within few seconds.

I'm betting 50 bucks; the next time I'm there for service....they will slap a new one on my tC

Since my car was delivered in Wisconsin...they drill some holes into my baby too. Then I noticed there's fade occuring where the plate rests so I have front plate bracket and I didn't realize I had to put in another two holes. So I'm one of the lucky few who has four holes in my bumper. I noticed the last time I was in Indiana, they don't have front plates. Maybe we should buy our cars from Indiana so we have nice neat front bumper

can't really do that since stop light cameras and most tollbooths implemented cameras for recording the front plate.

You get vinyl? In Indiana/Ohio, the dealerships are more fond of paint. They just have a little template and spray gun, and tag the car on its way out.
One of my friends bought a used Impala, and in the 10 minutes between when he took his final inspection, and they went inside to hand him the keys, the bastards painted their names on the trunk lid.

I told my dealer not to put my front plate on, but in the process of getting it to me slighter quicker someone put the holes in. My wifes 08 Aenger didn't get the holes, but there are two little dimples where they should be so it's almost fair to me.
